
The Veterans Workforce Development Center (VWDC) is here to help veterans prepare for fulfilling careers after military service, with emphasis on technology-related fields. Our fundamental objective is to enhance the educational and professional development of veterans.
The VWDC’s support includes scholarships for veterans seeking associate degrees in fields related to science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM). Scholarships are also available for veterans seeking certification in a STEM-related area. These scholarships are funded by a United States Department of Defense grant.

Eligibility
The opportunity to apply for a VWDC scholarship is available to all eligible veterans, from all branches of the U.S. military: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Guard & Reserve, who have served their country. Veteran must submit a DD214 document, an honorable discharge document, or a letter certifying release from active duty to attend school.
Veteran must be enrolled in either:
- a Bachelor Degree program in a field of study related to science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) at a college or university, OR
- an Associate Degree program in a field of study related to science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) at a technical/community college, OR
- a STEM-related Certification program, including, but not limited to, Cisco, project management, environmental and computer sciences, as well as automotive, electrical and engineering technology.
Requirement of Scholarship Recipients
Veterans participating in the Veterans Workforce Development Center’s scholarship program are expected to also participate in two of the VWDC’s training programs. VWDC training programs are designed to increase a veteran’s success. The training programs are provided on-line and scheduled with consideration of our participants’ other commitments. Bachelor Degree Track
- Scholarship (up to $9,000) for one academic year
